Dear Mayor Hurst,
Almost Home Shelter is requesting a Resolution be placed on January City Council agenda for the
approval of$93,000 and that this will be voted on at the January meeting.
These funds would be used to expand the city property formerly the Pound and currently utilized
as the Animal Shelter for the City of Van Burerf.
As we have explained in previous meetings these improvements are needed in order to establish
a safer working environment for the volunteers and a safer temporary shelter for the dogs.
Outside runs connected to inside pens would also be installed.
The Shelter Board appreciates the City.Council taking the time to let us address our needs and
concerns.
It is our hope that in the near future we will have an updated facility that not only volunteers but
the city can be proud of.
Sincerely,
Connie Martin
Board Secretary
