Please be advised that we have completed our studies and that all four of these intersections meet the warrants for a traffic signal. Sta The intersections of Highway 64 and 7 12 and 15 Streets are eligible for upgrading 90a Federal funds. The City will be responsible for 10% of the preliminary engineering and construction costs. The nter and of Highway 64 and Highway 162 is eligible for upgrading using 100% Federal and State funds. Please note that the traffic signals t the intersection of Highway 64 and Highway 59 operate off the same controller that controls the signals at 12 Street. Therefore, the intersection of Highways 64 and 59 will also need to be modified, and is eligible for upgrading using 100% Federal and State funds. The City will be responsible for acquiring any needed right -of -way and utility adjustments at all five intersections. In addition, the City must provide power to the traffic signals and maintain them after installation. Our preliminary cost estimate for this job is $200,000. If the City should desire to wait until Federal funds become available, please have your City (samples enclosed) and return them to us. If the City requires the u pgrading of these signals at this time, the Department can issue a permit for the installations at the expense of the City. ty Council pass two Y. s truly Robert L.
