ORD NO 10-1966 ORDINANCE NO. 10 -1966
An Ordinance establishing a special fund to be known as the
"Van Buren Memorial Library Fund:"
WHEREAS, an interest in the Van Buren Library has been expressed
by several citizens of Von Buren, and
WHEREAS, in order for these people to donate money to the
Library either by gift or bequest it is necessary to establish
a special fund for purpose of receiving and carrying out their
wishes.
0 NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. There is hereby created a special fund to be
known as "The Van Buren Memorial Library Fund" into which any gift:;
or bequests for the Library may be deposited and the Board of
Trustees of the Van Buren Library shall have the control of the
expending of these funds for library purposes.
Section 2. That by reason of the immediate necessity of
0 providing a legal account for receiving gifts and bequests for
the Library an /emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety shall take effect and be in force
from'and after the passage, approvele and publication.
