ORD NO 19-1966 QDINANCE NO. 19 -1966
AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING THE SALARY OF THE MUNICIPAL
GP COURT CLERK OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN DUREN,
ARKANSAS.
Section 1. That effective January 1, 1967, and thereafter the
salary and compensation of the Municipal Court Clerk of the City of
Van Buren, Arkansas, shall and will be the sum of Fourty -two hundred
Dollars (54200) annually, payable 5350.00 per month, one -half thereof
to be paid by the City of Van Buren and one -half thereof to be paid by
Crawford County as heretofore fixed and provided by the laws of the
State of Arkansas.
Section 2. All laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. It is hereby ascertained and declared that there is
immediate need in order' to maintain the Court and the administration
of justice as well as the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of said city that said salary be so fixed and determined; therefore,
an emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary for the preservation
of the .administration of justice, the public peace, health and safety.,
and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force without delay
from and after its passage and be and become effective on and after
January 1, 1967.
