ORDINANCE NU. 19- 1972
AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING THE SALARY OF THE
MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS, AND
DECLARING AN ENCRGENCY.
BE IT URDINANED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN
BUREN, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. That effective January 1, 1973, and thereafter
the salary and compensation of the Municipal Court Clerk of the
City of Van Buren, Arkansas, shall and will he tha sum of Fifty
Four hundred Dollars (55400) annually payable 450.00 per month
one -half thoreof to be paid by the City of Van Buren and ono -half
thereof to be paid by Crawford County as heretofore fixed and
provided by the laws of the State of Arkansas.
Suction 2. That effective January 1, 1973, and thereafter
the salary and compenation of the Deputy Muricipal Court Clerk
of the City of Van Buren, Arkanoas, shall and will be the sum of
Eighteen Hundred Dollars (f1800) payable 5150,00 per month,
one -half thereof to be paid by the City of Van Duren, and ono
half thereof to be paid by Crawford County as heretofore fixed
and provided by the laws of the State of Arkansas.
Section 3. All laws and parts of laws in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 4. It is hereby ascertained and declared that
there is immediate need in order to maintain the Court and the
administration of justice as well as the peace, health, and
:safety of the inhabitants of said city that said salary be so
fixed and determined; therefore, an emergency exists and this
ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the administ-
ration of justice, tho public peace, health and safety, end
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force without delay
from and after its pausaye and be and become effective on and
after January 1, 1973.
