AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIANCE ON THE EAST 2 of LOT 2 AND ALL OF LOTS 3 4,
BLOCK 3, MEYERS HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Paul E. Brant has filed a petition for a variance under ARTICLE IIX,
Section 3 of the Zoning Ordinance 7 -1963, and
WHEREAS, notice of hearing has been published in the newspaper as required by
law, and a sign giving notice to the public has been posted on the property, and
WHEREASNo one has appeared opposing said variance being granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,ARKANSAS;
THAT, Paul E. Brant,owner of East of Lot 2 and all of lots 3 4, Block 3, Meyer
Heights Addition to the City of Van Buren, Arkansas is hereby granted a variance
to the Y 4
clause of Zoning Ordinance 7 -1963 to construct a building that would
allow a canopy and a porch totaling 5 feet in depth to extend into the 25 foot set-
back required by C -2 Zoning, The total of the frontage of the building is 80 feet
and the total of the canopy and porch is 41 feet.
THAT, to allow him to construct this canopy and porch would be in the best interest
of the city and the property owner,
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 13th day of May, 1974.
