ORD NO 04-1975 qrn ORDINANCE 170. 4-4 C_7 AN ORDINANCE FIXItNG RATES FOR THE SALE OF WATER, REPEALING .,ORDI27ANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. j` r n t WHEREAS, the cost of water to the City of Van Buren has been increased materially because of a raise in the water rates charged to it by the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and. WHEREAS, the City of Van Buren is obligated='to,the pay an ent of bonded indebtedness for construction of improveisents and betterments to the system and the cost thereof and the cost of operating the water system makes it necessary that such raise in rates he passed on to its customers.;. -and, WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council of the City, :t of Van Buren, Arkansas, to establish monthly minimum/charge -for the sale of water and fix the cost of water sold in addi s at tion to the amount included in the minimum; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE CITY COUNCIL, OF TUE CITY OF VAN BUREII ARKANSAS: Section 1. Section 3. All ordinances and part of ordinances in, con :flict herewith are hereby repealed. i T y. Section 4.
