RES NO 09-01-1974 RESOLUTION 1 -9 -74
WHEREAS, the City of Van Buren, Arkansas has an Urban Renewal Agency,
and,
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency is engaged in a project of improve-
ments, and,
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency wishes to do certain improvements at
South 9th, Webster Street, and Main Street, and,
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency cannot acquire right -of -way for this
project, and,
WHEREAS, said improvements are necessary,
HOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY''COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN
BUREN, ARKANSAS:
1. That theMayor, on behalf of the City of Van Buren, Arkansas, is
authorized to purchase Block 44 of the original town of Van Buren, Arkansas
for TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS (S2,500.00).
2. That the present property owner will, at no expense to the City of
Van Buren, Arkansas, be allowed to move the underground tank and gas pumps.
