A RESOLUTION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL COMMISSION OF T11E URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF
THE CITY OP VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS, AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY OF THE
URBAN RENEWAL COMMISSION TO DEDICATE CERTAIN PARCELS OF AGENCY OWNED PROPERTY
TO THE CITY OF VAN BUREN IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE DISPOSITION PLAN IN THE
VAN BUREN URBAN RENEWAL APPLICATION DATED APRIL 3, 1973.
0 WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency was duly authorized by Resolution of the
City Council of the City of Van Buren on the 3rd day of June, 1968, a copy
of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Van Buren,
Arkansas, including the necessary certificate evidencing the appointment of the
commissioners and designation of the first chairman and vice chairman pursuant
to acts 1945, Number 212 as added by Acts 1961, Number 40 of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Commission was duly organized by Resolution of the
Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Van Buren on the 9th day of October 1968,
including by —laws and terns of office; and
WHEREAS, an Urban Renewal plan (which included the disposition plan for all
agency owned property) (together with all modifications thereof is hereinafter
referred to as the "Urban Renewal Plan") for,the Neighborhood Development Program
(hereinafter referred to as the "Project has been adopted by the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Van Buren on September 23, 1971, and has been approved by the
City Council on November 27, 1972, which Urban Renewal Plan, as it exists on the date
hereof, is recorded in the office of the Circuit Clerk, Crawford County, State of
Arkansas (hereinafter referred to as the "Recorder in book 372, page 1; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Van Buren, Arkansas is owner
and holder of record of fee simple title to certain real property located in
the Project Area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Urban Renewal Plan and Act 40, Acts of General Assembly,
State of Arkansas (hereinafter called "Urban Renewal Act the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Van Buren, Arkansas is authorized to acquire for
specific uses, land for purpose of carrying out said plan and upon acquisition
and completion of any agreed upon improvements, to convey said property to the City
of Van Buren, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, certain property was acquired under the proposed Urban Renewal Acquisition
Plan for the purpose of dedicating such property to the City of Van Buren as
shown in the Disposition Plan of the Van Buren Urban Renewal Application dated
April 3, 1973.
0 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE URBAN RENEWAL COMMISSION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS:
I.
That the Urban Renewal Commission hereby authorizes and directs the Secretary
and Chairman to execute necessary documents to warrant title of the following
described properties.to the City of Van Buren, Arkansas for the purposes stated
below:
?UELZC, COMMUNITY FACILITY
Part of Lots 5 and 6, Block 23 Original Town of Van Buren, Arkansas;
described as follows: A strip 21 feet of equal width across the northerly
end of said lots parallel with and adjacent to alley in said block 23, a
conveyance of 21 feet frontage on South 6th Street by 66 feet deep along alley
in said block, intent to convey office building at No. 12 on west side north 6th
street with the ground.on which it stands, being a tract 21 feet by 66 feet.
0 (pt. lots 5 &'6, Block 23, Van Buren, fronting 21 feet on South 6th St.,
extending back 66 feet along East side of alley).

PUBLIC PARK AND OPEN SPACE
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 24,
Township 9 North, Range 32 West, described as beginning 40 feet west of
the Southwest Corner of Block 4, Pabere Addition to the City of Van Buren,
thence south 150 feet, thence west 100 feet,'thence south 150 feet, thence
east 100 feet to place of beginning,
AND
Lots 19, 20, and 21, Block 2, Faber Addition to the City of Van Buren, being
part of the northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, Township
9 North, Range 32 Weet,
AND
Part of fractional Block 43 of the Original Town of Van Buren, Arkansas, more
particularly described as beginning at the intersection of the west line
of South 9th Street with South line of East Main Street and running thence West
along the South line of East Main Street, 44 feet, more or less, to the center
of the common brick wall between the storeroom located at 828 East Main Street,
and the building located at 826 East Main Street, thence south along of
said wall to Webster Street, thence Easterly along north line of Webster Street
to west line of South 9th Street, thence northerly along west line of South 9.th
Street to point of beginning, including the storerooms at 828, 830 and 832 East,
Main Street and one —half the common brick wall between the buildings at 826 and
828 East Main Street. (The building located at 828, 830, and 832 East Main
were destroyed by fire but the common brick wall still stands and still a part
of building located at 826 East Main Street).

All of Fractional Block 71 of the Original Town of Van Buren, Arkansas, the
same being a part of the Southeast'Quarter of the Nottheaatiquartoi• of Section
25, Township 9•North,.Range 32 West.

Commencing at the most westerly corner of Lot 16, Block 25, Original
Town of Van Buren, Arkansas, where Webster Street and South 6th Street
intersect, thence northeasterly along Webster Street 49 1/2 feet; thence
at right angles in a southeasterly direction 42 1/3 feet; thence at right.
angles in a southwesterly direction 49 1/2 feet to the line of South 6th
Street; thence along South 6th Street in a Northwesterly direction to the
place of beginning.

Part of Lots 9 and 10, Block 18 in the Original Town of Van Buren, and
more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast
corner of said Lot 9, thence running along North 5th Street
south 29 feet to a place of beginning, thence running west 66 -feet, thence
south 29 feet,,thence' east 66 feet, thence north 29 feet to,a place•of
beginning.'

The City of Van Buren, Arkansas accepts the above described property to be used
in accordance with the Urban Renewal Disposition Plan
