RESOLUTION NO. 161 -76
A RESOLUTION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING
THE CHAIRMAN TO ACCEPT THE BID OF Don R. Comstock FOR THE
PURCHASE OF CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
AREA, ARK. A -23, NDP.
WHEREAS, a public offering of certain disposition parcels was made on August 24,
1973, April 8, 1974 September 3, 1974, September 26, 1974, &'Apri.l 3, 1975, in
accordance with the approved land disposal procedure; and
WHEREAS, a bid from Don R. Comstock is the highest. received from bidders
who met the bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, the amount of the bid of Don Comstock meets the approved minimum disposal
price; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Van Buren has ascertained the
qualifications and financial responsibility of the proposed redeveloper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE URBAN RENEWAL COMMISSION OF THE URBAN
RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN.
I.
That the Chairman of the Urban Renewal Commission be authorized to
accept the bid of Don R. Comstock following identified disposition parcel
at the listed bid price:

II.
That the acceptance of this bid is in accordance with the approved land
disposition program.
III.
That Don Comstock possesses the qualifications and financial resources
necessary to acquire and develop the land in accordance with the Urban Renewal Plan.
IV.
That the acceptance of this bid is subject to all the requirements of the
Urban Renewal law and approval by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
