'r RESOLUTION OF TUIE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS,••APPROPRIATINC'
FUNDS FOR PRODUCING A PI THE VAN BUREN HISTORIC DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Van Buren Historic District Commission, acting on behalf of The Urban
Renewal Commission and City of Van Buren, Arkansas, is presently,engaged in facade
restoration within the Main Street Historic District; and -e
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Commission ie involved in the total redevelopment and
4 restoration of the Main Street area; and
WHEREAS, the redevelopment project has received national recognition; and
WHEREAS, the redevelopment project should be recorded on film co.be used in documenting
"the Van Buren Story
NOW THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VA»,BUREN, ARKANSAS;

I.
That there is appropriated a sum, up toll maxbnum of Ten Thousand Dollars, to pay.
4.1 for a technical and promotional film on the Main Street reatoration/redevolopmant
work in Van Buren, Arkansas.
II.
That for the purpose of.producing a documentary film, the Urban Renewal Commission of
the City of Van Buren, Arkansas, is hereby authorized to purchase necessary materials
and enter into a contract or contracts on behalf of the City of, Van Buren. Arkansas,
in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars.
III.
-H. That said contract or contracts must be approved by the ?layer -of the City of Van
Buren, Arkansas.
IV.
That the City will pay amounts due to the suppliers or contractors, as provided in:
the contract, upon submission of invoices approved by the Van Buren Urban Renewal
;;14' Commission and the, Mayor of the City of Van Buren.
'i V.
That chin Resolution will be mnde a part of any contract executod by the Urban
Renewal Commission for the filmrproduction.
