ARKANSAS ORDINANCE NO 1980 ",t AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND; THE BUILDING CODE, ORDINANCE PASSED.,THE 8TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1959 AS "APIENDLD <TO AMEND SECTION .100 4,106.1 AND 120.1 OF: THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE 1967'EDITION•AND TO' PROVIDE A O DEPOSIT FOR DEMOLITION WORK AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES •NOW, THEREFORE, -'BE IT' ORDAINED. BY THE CITY COUNCIL` OF. THE CITY' OF VAN BUREN,`` ARKANSAS Section I the �.National .Building Code 1967Edi�tion'is amend ed to.amend? Section 100,4 to 'read as following, to wit 100:4 Nothing in this code shall be construed to prevent; the enforcement' of other'laws -which prescribe more' restrictive, limitation -.including OrdinanceNO.. 11- 19'72. "Section II. "'That •Section 106 :1 of.•the National Building•- 1967.4 Edition:: is amended.. by _deleting' the following' words within ':the limits'and'as provided by state law and by•the addition of the following: by a fine "of not more•than $250 00 `Section III... That Section 1220 :1 of the National Building Code 1967 Edition is amended to read., as following, to• wit:' 'Except where there is adequate space and special permission has been received -from the building official in, the demolition, `•of••buildings one story;att.a time -shall be completely removed No :wall, chimney,' or other construction -Shall be allowed to fall •in, mass on an 'upper floor Bulky material-; such as beams and columns, "shall be lowered and not allowed, to` ",fall Section IV.- That' before a. permit shall; be issued by the Building Inspector .to demolish a building, the Person Firm, or Corporation shall file with s'aid a Cash' Deposit in 'the penal sum of Five Hundred :Dollars•($ 500.00)' conditioned that upon' completion .of said demolishing of said'b uilding structure that said lot will :.be 'cleaned -up and debris disposed of in •a' lawful: manner Section V. That said Pe4son, Firm, or•Corporation •demolishing said building shall•have ninety•(90)•days: from said permit issuance to 'demolish said building or structure and the clean-up o£ the lot.
