"GENE" BELL, Mayor HILL ALEXANDER Van Buren, Arkansas 72956 Phone 474 -1541 January 17, 1986 Mayor Gene Bell Municipal Complex Van Buren, AR 72956 Dear Mayor Bell: At this time, the City is in ownership of a 1957 model, Austin Western road grader that has been sitting in the Street Department yard, unused, for 6 years, or more. This piece of machinery is in a very poor state of disrepair and parts are practically impossible to obtain. An offer of $1000.00 has been made to the city, by Billy Hammock, who wants the grader for use on his farm at Kibler. I recommend that this offer be accepted since the grader has been sitting, unused, for some time and there are no plans for it's future use, due to the conditions mentioned above.
