ORDINANCE NO. .2/ -1992
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 7 -1963 FOR THE PURPOSE OF REZONING CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS, AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Ronnie Hawkins of Hawkins -Weir Engineers, Inc., has submitted a
Petition to rezone the following property located within, Van
Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas, to -wit: The South 305.27 feet
of the following described property:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 13, Township 9 North, Range 32 West, described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter;
run thence North 88 degrees 36 feet West 300 feet to beginning;
run thence North 02 degrees 48 feet East 982.7 feet to South
right -of -way of Interstate Highway 40; run thence North 82 degrees
30 feet West along said highway right -of -way 200.7 feet; thence
South 02 degrees 48 feet West 996.9 feet; thence South 88 degrees
38 feet East 200 feet to the Point of Beginning.
from R -1 to C -2; and
WHEREAS, Notice of Hearing has been published in the newspaper and posted
as required by law; and
WHEREAS, A Public Hearing was held before the Planning Commission on
August 4, 1992; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission recommended said zone change:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: THAT the said property described herein above, is
hereby rezoned from R -1 to C -2 and the Zoning Map of the City
of Van Buren shall be so amended.
