RES NO 01-03-1993 CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS RESOLUTION NO. 7- -1993 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PROPERTY TO THE VAN BUREN SCHOOL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, A fifty (50) foot wide street right -of -way between Lots 2 and 3 of Richmond Addition to the City of Van Buren, has been previously dedicated to the City of Van Buren; and WHEREAS, Said fifty (50) foot wide street right -of -way has not ever been used by the public as a street; and WHEREAS, The Van Buren School District has purchased property beyond the Richmond Addition and abutting both the platted lots therein and the dedicated street right -of -way; and WHEREAS, It is now impossible or impractical for said street right -of -way to be effectively used as a city street; and WHEREAS, The Van Buren School District desires to purchase the said street right -of -way for the purpose of establishing a private drive access to their property: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: THAT under the authority of A.C.A., Section 14 -54 -302 and A.C.A., Section 14 -54- 104(2), upon payment to the City of Van Buren of $100.00 from the Van Buren School District, the Mayor and City are hereby authorized to execute a Deed to the Van Buren School District for the following described property located in Crawford County, Arkansas, to -wit: A fifty (50) foot wide street right -of -way across part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 32 West, being described as that 50 foot right -of -way platted between Lots 2 and 3 on Richmond Addition to the City of Van Buren, extending from the North right -of -way line of Rena Road 150 feet to the North.
