BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, FOR THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,
ARKANSAS,A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED:
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND DIRECTOR OF UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF VAN BUREN
PUBLIC WATER & SEWER SYSTEM TO EXECUTE CERTAIN
DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH FUNDING ADMINISTERED BY
THE ARKANSAS NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Van Buren,Arkansas owns and operates a public water and sewer system(the
"System") in order to provide public water and sewer services to meet the needs of the
City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the City of Van Buren Municipal Utilities Commission has
determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its inhabitants to apply for
assistance from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (the "ANRC"), in order to
make certain improvements to the System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VAN BUREN,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1: That the Mayor of the City, as a Signatory Agent or the successor of said Agent, is
hereby authorized and directed to make application for assistance administered by the
ANRC and to execute, when approved by the City Council, a bond purchase agreement
and instruments issued or made pursuant thereto on behalf of the City from time to time.
SECTION 2: That the Director of Utilities of the City of Van Buren Municipal Utilities, as a Signatory
Agent or the successor of said Agent, is hereby authorized to execute, for and on behalf
of the City, all other documents and certificates required.
IN WITNESS WHERE4 F, the City o Van Buren, Arkansas, by its City Council, did pass,
approve, and adopt, by a vote of (p for and against, the foregoing Resolution at its regular meeting
held on the 22°d day of December 2025.
