BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, FOR THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,
ARKANSAS,A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED:
A RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE PARKS DEPARTMENT
EQUIPMENT FUND(33)BANK ACCOUNT AT CITIZENS BANK
WITH ACCOUNT NUMBER 510030943 AND TO DESTROY ANY
UNUSED CHECKS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk-Treasurer has determined that a bank account was initially
created at Citizens Bank for the purpose of receiving revenue and issuing payments for
the Parks Department Equipment Fund with account number 510030943; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Parks Department Equipment Fund will no longer be
needed but will be transferred in its entirety into the General Fund bank account at
Citizens Bank with account number 804134206 after proper due diligence to determine
that all outstanding checks have been posted, the Parks Department Equipment Fund
bank account will hereafter be closed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VAN BUREN,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Van Buren, Arkansas hereby authorizes the City Clerk-
Treasurer to close the Parks Department Equipment Fund bank account at Citizens Bank
and destroy all unused checks.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the CityoS Van Buren, Arkansas, by its City Council, did pass,
approve, and adopt, by a vote of a for and against,the foregoing Resolution at its regular meeting
held on the 24t'day of November 2025.
