ORDINANCE NO. 10 -2025
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL,FOR THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,ARKANSAS,AN
ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-2019
DESIGNATING PLACES FOR THE POSTING OF ORDINANCES;
PRESCRIBING OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to A.C.A. § 14-55-206,the City can designate five public places for the postings
of notices of ordinances of the City.
WHEREAS, one of the five places previously used to post ordinances was the Van Buren Municipal
Annex, and that location needs to be replaced by the Crawford County District Court
building located at 301 Mount Vista Boulevard.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1: Ordinance Number 04-2019 is hereby amended in Section 1 to replace the
Van Buren Municipal Annex with the Crawford County District Court
building as one of the five places the city will use for posting notices of
the adoption of ordinances of the City.
SECTION 2: All ordinances and resolutions and parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: It is further found that due to the immediate need for proper public
notification of the adoption of ordinances an emergency is declared to
exist, and it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the City f Van Buren,Arkansas,by its City Council,did pass,
approve, and adopt,by a vote of_(a for and�gainst,the foregoing Ordinance at its regular meeting
held on the 25t'day of August 2025.
