A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANIX)NMENI' OF A
PORTION OF ALMA BOULEVARD CIRCLE IN THE CITY OF VAN BUREN,
ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, The Van Buren Public Schools has petitioned the City
Council of Van Buren, Arkansas, to vacate and abandon
all that portion of Alma Boulevard Circle containing the
cu —de —sae and part of said street surrounded on three
sides by Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Cloverleaf Executive Plaza,
more particularly described as follows:
Part of Alma Boulevard Circle between Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Cloverleaf
Executive Plaza, an addition to the City of Van Buren, Crawford County,
Arkansas, filed for record at Book 1-1, Page 299C of the Crawford County
Clerk and Ex- Officio Recorder's records, being part of the Northeast
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20 Township 9 North,
Range 31 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Crawford County,
.Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Lot 2 of said Cloverleaf Executive
Plaza; thence South 01 degrees 26 minutes 01 seconds East 36.41 feet to a
curve to the left having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence southeasterly, 12.09
feet along said curve to the left subtended by a chord of South 23 degrees
31 minutes 37 seconds East 11.77 feet to a curve to the right having a
radius of 50.00 feet; thence Southeasterly 237.69 feet along said curve to
the right subtended by a chord of South 88 degrees 33 minutes 59 seconds
West 69.23 feet to a curve to the left having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence
Northeasterly, 12.09 feet along said curve to the left subtended by a chord
of North 21 degrees 39 minutes 36 seconds East 11.77 feet; thence North
01 degrees 26 minutes 01 seconds West, 50.26 feet to the Northeast
Corner of Lot 5 of said Cloverleaf Executive Plaza; thence South 78
degrees 26 minutes 00 seconds East 61.58 feet to the Point of Beginning,
containing 10,471 square feet, more of less, or 0.24 acres, more of less.
and,
WHEREAS, The Petitioner owns all the property adjoining that
portion of the street above described; and,
WHEREAS, The City Council of Van Buren, Arkansas, acting under
the authority of Arkansas Code Annotated, Section 14-
301 -301, has the authority to abandon streets and
alleys;
NOW THEREFORE, BE 1'T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VAN BUREN, ARKANSAS:
SECT IONI: That a Public Hearing is set for April 21, 1997, at 7:00
P.M., at which time said Petition shaft he presented to
the City Council and the Council will determine at that
time whether such property should he abandoned as a
street and that all abutting property owners and other
persons directly interested have consented to such
abandonment.
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of Van Buren, Arkansas is hereby
directed to give notice by publication once a week for
two weeks in some newspaper published in Crawford
County advising the property owners affected that on
said date and time the Council will hear said Petition.

Comes now Van Buren Public Schools, by and through its designated agent, Chuck Dyer
and states:
1. The Petitioner herein is the record owner of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Cloverleaf Executive
Plaza to the City of Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas
2. There is currently platted a cul -de -sac and part of a street, surrounded on three sides by
the property of the petitioner. It is the petitioner's intent to vacate that portion of the
platted street described as follows:
Part of Alma Boulevard Circle between Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Cloverleaf Executive Plaza, an
addition to the City of Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas, filed for record at Book
H, Page 299C of the Crawford County Clerk and Ex- Officio Recorder's records, being
part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20 Township 9 North,
Range 31 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Crawford County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows:
